Latelyness

Alrighty...so what's new... Well, I got my nose pierced again last Saturday. Jesse was very resistant to the idea. In fact, when I asked him if he wanted to go to the piercing shop with me he said, "Sure, and then I can get my lips sewn shut so I can starve to death," and I said, "Well, that's an option." That's how opposed to it he was. But now he's just like meh, whatever. That's right! It has pretty much stopped hurting at this point, although sometimes it still twinges. When I think about it I'm a little miffed at my old work that I had to get rid of it in the first place. I wouldn't have had to go through that again, and I'd be $50 richer. Oh well.

I'm going to Mom's today for a trim and color. She's been reading my book suggestions and I'm very glad I'm such a voracious reader that I can offer her suggestions. So I'm bringing her another book to read, and I'm bringing my new makeup case. Holy crap, I forgot to tell you about that! I bought a 120-color eyeshadow palette from eBay (sent from Hong Kong) and I absolutely love it! Not the matte colors so much, but the shimmers, totally! They are highly pigmented so you don't need to much color, and the combinations you can go are awesome! You can find some YouTube videos on them if you look up "Beauties Factory" I think it is. Great stuff.

I'm getting into makeup and stuff again. I think that's another reason I pierced my nose again. The last couple years I've not been putting forth much of an effort, but at eBay there are so many unique individuals around it's getting my creative bug going again. I've been buying a ton of gel/cream eyeliners also off eBay. I like the M.A.C. Fluidline gel eyeliners pretty well, especially the Sweet Sage color.

I think maybe I might want to get into shoes as well. A few years ago I was shoeshopping with a friend and found these patent leather pin-up style high heels and I loved them! I flipping hate high heels, so that's saying something. But they were comfortable and had thick enough heels that I didn't feel I was going to pitch over, and made me feel sexy. Unfortunately, they were too large and I haven't found a pair like then since. Granted, I haven't been looking to hard but Payless Shoes don't really have that style, so I think I'm going to have to hit up more of the swanky shoe stores in order to get what I want. *sigh* Fashion.

Halloween was pretty easy. I bought little trinket-type games and festive yo-yos, put them in a bowl on a stand and left it outside for the kids to choose. I only had a couple left by the end of the night, so I'd say they were a success. I just didn't want any candy in the house.

My extra training class at work is now over, so after this weekend Jesse and I will be on completely the same schedule, including days off. I suggested we should have his parents over for dinner because we haven't done anything like that for awhile with our schedules being so different these past couple months. So his folks are coming over Tuesday evening, which should be a good time.
